WHAT SHALL I HAVE FOR BREAKFAST TODAY?.


Porridge oats and curried goats

Fresh lambs liver and perhaps a sliver

Of honey roast ham with two slices of yam

A thick sirloin steak and pasta bake

A couple of eggs with three pigs legs

A bowl of flakes rice crispie cakes

A pot of jam another piece of yam

More ham on the bone an ice cream cone

Some cheese on rye a big apple pie

A fresh roast haddock prepared of course by Fanny Craddock

A big jug of punch?

No I’ll save that for lunch.

A plate of plum duff and that’ll be enough

Oh and two tins of beans now that is the lot it seems

Of course a bucket of tea that will do it for me

It’s no wonder I’m getting fat.
