TRANSMISSION SHIFT: RADIO 4 AND A LITTLE BIT MORE

Through papers i’m leafing

To find the news briefing,

“I can’t find it,” I say

So let’s have a prayer for today.

That would be calming

So now here is the farming.

Yesterday in parliament,

They said that today in parliament,

Great lives

Like great wives

Were an act of worship.

And Woman’s Hour

Depending on a point of view

Was like standing in a queue,

Waiting for the shipping forecast.

Bleak expectations passed,

Still,

The sun hasn’t fallen from the sky.

I wonder why,

The world at one

Is not the last word

Is that a bit absurd?

Meanwhile in the front row

Waiting for the word “go”

Were the archers,

Bows in hand,

Saviours of the promised land.

Just a brief encounter.

Now for a cup of ovaltine

A book at bedtime

A bit of z time

Life at 24 frames a second

Is so tiring.
