REMEMBERING CHARLES DICKENS

The days of Charles Dickens

Were the days of slim pickings.

In the tale of two cities,

The poor and the rich.

Just take a guess

Which one thinks life is a bitch.

Their are hands out for alms

Dirt ingrained palms.

Just another of the sights

In this great Cities nights.

So don’t give and forget,

Give and then let

Your heart give a shout,

As you help the less fortunate out.

It could easily be yours,

Just as easily be you.

Then what would you do?

Live your life rough?

Find life can be tough?

Give thanks that it aint

Let Charity paint,

Something better,something neat,

For those less well off

Who live out on the street.
