THE RUNNER

She ran, She ran

Just as fast as she could.

And try that I would

I couldn’t catch her

I couldn’t match her.

Speed

Her need.

To run and escape

To not get trapped in her fate.

And now I’m missing my woman.

She aint coming

Home.

She’s gone

She has left me alone

With the dog and the kids,

Left me to slide on the skids.

I’m missing my woman

She aint coming

Home.
