Sit back and enjoy it.

You know that the battle line has been drawn

From the very first moment that you’re born.

On your first day in the race

The very first look at the face of your Mother.

And maybe it’s because you’re a baby

That you drink Mothers milk

And have skin that is wrinkly and smells of spun silk.

But this will all alter

As you grow and take faltering steps on the way

And every day you will change

Age will rearrange your features

Until you become one of those old creatures

But then you can join the crumblies club

And here’s the “rub”

There is no escape

This is your fate

Age.

Enjoy it.
