Keeping it real

I have been told to make this deal

And today I’ve been told to keep things real.

No more daylight that likes to laugh

No more kippers kissing in the bath

No more ravens that like to crow

No more tomatoes with a weird green glow

No more furrowing ploughs that plough furrows on brows

No more Moon jumping cows

No more silence that talks

No more words that take walks

No more reading of the in between lines

No more parking astride parallel lines

No more Guardians perusing the Times.

Today has to be real because that is the deal

But I will still peel the bells

Run up and down fells

And draw the waters in wells.

How could I not.. it’s just what I’ve got

In my head.
