BALANCING

Unstable

Unable.

To stand up straight.

To recalibrate

And escape this state More

GROWNING

The pull of the winds

The wind that rescinds

Decisions.

Made in gales.

Decisions of self centred males.

And silence drops it’s silken coat

About my shoulders

As I wrote

Upon the leaves,

Of upturned cuffs and snotty sleeves.

In schoolboy dreams

I play out the scenes,

In acts of puberty.

Then red faced and breathing deep

In teenage thought I keep.

The winds and gales

And “puppy dogs tails”

In the rag tag sail

Of the centric male.

DOW… THE CHEMICAL ELEMENT

Agents.

Greens and reds and blues

Confuse the fields,

In which the blood congeals.

As Napalm calms.

Its fiery touch.

And rice paddys

Upon which the locals depend so much

Evaporate away.

In the swaying flames

As the war untamed

Roams free and wild.

There the abandoned child of ignorance shall walk.

While in other places

Envoys talk.
